1AR-FE ENGINE CONTROL: ECM: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ECM BRACKET

(a) Install the ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.

2. INSTALL NO. 2 ECM BRACKET

(a) Install the No. 2 ECM bracket to the ECM with the 3 screws.

3. INSTALL ECM

(a) Install the ECM with the 3 bolts.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

(b) Pull down the lever to engage the lock and connect the 2 connectors to the ECM.





NOTICE:
* Make sure that the 2 levers are securely locked.
* When connecting the connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not become stuck between the connectors and other parts.

(c) Engage the wire harness clamp to the ECM bracket.

4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY Installation

5. INSTALL BATTERY Installation

6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER INLET ASSEMBLY Installation

7. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY

Installation

8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

HINT
Initialization cannot be completed by only disconnecting and reconnecting the cable of the negative (-) battery terminal.

(a) Perform Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) registration Programming and Relearning.

(b) Register the ECM communication ID for the immobiliser system when replacing the ECM Engine Immobiliser System (w/o Smart Key System).

(c) Perform Initialization when replacing the ECM Installation.
