INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK LOOSENESS OF FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT
(a) Check the tension of the belt by pushing it down with a finger.
OK:
The tension of the belt is enough.
NG -- REPLACE V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY Components
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT FOR WEAR
(a) Check the fan and generator V belt for wear.
OK:
The fan and generator V belt is not worn.
NG -- REPLACE FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT Components
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. CHECK GENERATOR PULLEY WITH CLUTCH FOR WEAR
(a) Check the generator pulley with clutch grooves for wear or other defects.
OK:
The generator pulley with clutch grooves is not damaged.
NG -- REPLACE GENERATOR PULLEY WITH CLUTCH Components
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK FOR NOISE WHILE GENERATOR PULLEY WITH CLUTCH IS OPERATING
(a) Perform a driving test and check if noise occurs when decelerating.
OK:
Noise does not occur.
NG -- REPLACE GENERATOR PULLEY WITH CLUTCH Components
OK -- REPLACE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY Components
