SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat): DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LEG COVER LH

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat leg cover.

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LEG COVER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

3. REMOVE SEAT LEG COVER LH

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the clip.





(b) Remove the screw and seat leg cover LH.

4. REMOVE SEAT LEG COVER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

5. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Seat) Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD RH

(a) Disengage the clip and 2 claws, and remove the front seat cushion inner shield RH.





7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY Removal

8. REMOVE SEAT POSITION SENSOR Removal

9. REMOVE SEAT SLIDE POSITION SENSOR PROTECTOR Removal

10. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective, remove the reclining adjuster release handle LH.

11. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE

(a) Remove the screw and the vertical adjusting handle.





12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the clip and 2 claws, remove the front seat cushion shield LH.

13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE

(a) Remove the seat band.





(b) for Front Passenger Side:

(1) Disconnect the 4 connectors and 5 wire clamps.





(c) Remove the 3 hog rings.





14. REMOVE SEAT HEATER CONTROL (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Disengage the clip and remove the seat heater control.





15. REMOVE SEAT ARMREST COVER LH

(a) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the seat armrest cover LH.





16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ARMREST ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and the front seat armrest assembly.





17. REMOVE NO. 1 FRONT SEATBACK HOOK

(a) Disengage the 4 claws and remove the No. 1 front seatback hook cover.





(b) Remove the screw and the No. 1 front seatback hook.





18. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER KNOB

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective, remove the snap ring as shown in the illustration. Then remove the reclining adjuster knob.

19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST SUPPORT

(a) Disengage the 4 clamps and separate the side airbag wire.





(b) Remove the 3 hog rings.





(c) Disengage the 2 claws and remove the front seat headrest support.





HINT
Use the same procedure for both sides.

20. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Remove the nut and the seatback pad and cover.





(b) Disengage the fastening tape and remove the 4 hog rings and front seatback cover.

21. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY Removal

22. REMOVE SEATBACK HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Cut off the 19 tack pins which fasten the seatback heater to the seatback cover, and then remove the seatback heater from the seatback cover.





23. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Disengage the 2 hooks.





(b) Disengage the 6 hooks and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.





24. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Remove the 16 hog rings and the front seat cushion cover.





25. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Heater System)

(a) Cut off the 33 tack pins which fasten the seat heater to the seat cushion cover, and then remove the seat cushion heater from the seat cushion cover.





26. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Disengage the guide and remove the reclining adjuster inside cover LH.





27. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

28. REMOVE SEAT RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER

(a) Disengage the claw and guide, remove the seat reclining adjuster inside cover.





29. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Remove the screw and the seat cushion edge protector LH.





30. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Driver Side)

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

31. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Remove the screw and the seat cushion edge protector LH.





32. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH (for Front Passenger Side)

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

33. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the screw.





(b) Disengage the hook and remove the seat cushion lower shield LH.

34. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION LOWER SHIELD RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

35. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK SPRING ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and the front seatback spring assembly.
