2nd Row Seat Ottoman Inoperative

Applicability

Introduction

Some 2011 Sienna vehicles may exhibit a condition where the 2nd row seat ottoman may become inoperative. The ottoman control cables have been updated for this condition. Refer to the repair procedure outlined in this bulletin to correct this condition.

This TSB applies to vehicles produced BEFORE the Production Change Effective VINs shown.

Warranty Information

APPLICABLE WARRANTY

^ This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

^ Warranty application is limited to occurrence of the specified condition described in this bulletin.





Parts Information

Repair Procedure





1. Remove 2nd row seat from slide mechanism and tilt back to gain access to ottoman control cable and bracket.

2. Remove ottoman control cable assembly from seat lever and ottoman assembly.





3. Inspect support bracket angle (see Fig. 2).

A. Using a straight edge confirm support bracket that holds cable in place is at a 90° angle.

B. If angle is not correct bend support bracket to a 90° angle.

4. Replace cable assembly with a new cable and secure cable to support bracket.

5. Install 2nd row seat assembly back into the slide mechanism and confirm ottoman operation.

6. Repeat same steps for opposite side.

7. Confirm proper operation of 2nd row seat and ottoman function.
