DESCRIPTION

When the CRUISE CONTROL MAIN switch is turned off, cruise control does not operate.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECM - BATTERY)

(a) Disconnect the E14 or E7 ECM connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage (for 1GR-FE):





Standard Voltage (for 2TR-FE):





(c) Reconnect the ECM connector.

OK -- PROCEED TO PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
NG -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - ECM)

(a) Disconnect the E14 or E7 ECM connector.





(b) Disconnect the combination meter C9 connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





*1: for 1GR-FE

*2: for 2TR-FE

(d) Reconnect the combination meter connector.

(e) Reconnect the ECM connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY - BATTERY)

(a) Disconnect the C9 combination meter connector.





(b) Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Voltage:





(c) Reconnect the combination meter connector.

NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY Removal
