DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU measures the speed of each wheel by receiving signals from the speed sensor. These signals are used for recognizing whether all 4 wheels are operating properly. Therefore, all of the wheel signals must be equal.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK TIRE SIZE
(a) Check tire size and condition of all 4 wheels.
OK:
All 4 wheels are in same condition.
NG -- REPLACE TIRES SO THAT ALL 4 TIRES ARE SAME IN SIZE
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. INSPECT SPEED SENSOR ROTOR
(a) Check the speed sensor circuit.
Front speed sensor C0200.
Rear speed sensor C0210.
NG -- REPLACE SPEED SENSOR ROTOR (SPEED SENSOR ROTOR)
OK -- Continue to next step.
3. INSPECT SPEED SENSOR
(a) Check the speed sensor circuit.
Front speed sensor C0200.
Rear speed sensor C0210.
NG -- REPLACE SPEED SENSOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SKID CONTROL ECU - SPEED SENSOR)
(a) Check the speed sensor circuit.
Front speed sensor C0200.
Rear speed sensor C0210.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.
5. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs ABS (Antilock Brake System).
(b) Check if the same DTCs are recorded ABS (Antilock Brake System).
