B2321 - Driver Side Door ECU Communication Stop

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when LIN communication between the front power window regulator motor assembly LH and main body ECU (driver side junction block) stops for 10 seconds or more.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
When using the Techstream with the ignition switch OFF to troubleshoot:

Connect the Techstream to the vehicle, and turn a courtesy switch on and off at 1.5 second intervals until communication between the Techstream and vehicle begins.

HINT
* DTC B2325 is output when communication between the front power window regulator motor assembly LH and main body ECU (driver side junction block) stops.
* When DTC B1206 and B2321 are output simultaneously, perform the troubleshooting for DTC B1206 first B1206.

PROCEDURE

1. CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU - REGULATOR MOTOR LH)

(a) Disconnect the J2 main body ECU (driver side junction block) connector.





(b) Disconnect the N12 front power window regulator motor assembly LH connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH (REGULATOR MOTOR LH - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

(a) Disconnect the N12 front power window regulator motor assembly LH connector.





(b) Measure the resistance and voltage according to the value(s) in the tables below.

Standard Resistance:





Standard Voltage:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

5. REPLACE FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Temporarily replace the front power window regulator motor assembly LH with a new or normally functioning one Removal.

(b) Clear the DTC Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

NEXT -- Continue to next step.

6. CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

A -- END (FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR LH IS DEFECTIVE)
