Installation

1GR-FE ENGINE MECHANICAL: ENGINE UNIT: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET RH

(a) Install the front No. 1 engine mounting bracket RH with the 4 bolts.

Torque : 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH

(a) Install the front No. 1 engine mounting bracket LH with the 3 bolts.

Torque : 43 Nm (438 kgf-cm, 32 ft-lbf)

3. INSTALL ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE Installation

4. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY Installation

5. INSTALL NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

6. INSTALL NO. 1 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

7. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

8. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD Installation

9. INSTALL FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY Installation

10. INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

11. INSTALL FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the No. 1 fuel pipe and No. 2 fuel pipe with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf)

(b) Connect the 2 fuel pipes Service Precautions.

12. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the 6 ignition coils with the 6 bolts.

Torque : 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)

13. INSTALL WIRING HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

(a) Install the 7 wiring harness clamp brackets with the 7 bolts.

Torque : 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf)

14. INSTALL NO. 2 EMISSION CONTROL VALVE SET

(a) Install the No. 2 emission control valve set with the 3 nuts.

Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

15. INSTALL EMISSION CONTROL VALVE SET

(a) Install the emission control valve set with the 3 nuts.

Torque : 21 Nm (214 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

16. INSTALL HEATER WATER PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Temporarily install the heater water pipe, and then tighten the 2 bolts in the order shown in the illustration.

Torque : 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf)





(b) Connect the hose.

17. INSTALL NO. 1 WATER BY-PASS PIPE

(a) Connect the water by-pass pipe hoses to the water by-pass pipe and No. 1 water outlet pipe.
