1GR-FE EMISSION CONTROL: AIR PUMP: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY

(a) Set the air pump assembly in place so that the bracket tab on the air pump bracket fits into the slot on the vehicle and the stud on the vehicle fits into the slot on the air pump bracket (View A).

(b) Insert the bracket tab into the slot (View B).

(c) Install the 2 bolts and 2 nuts.

for bolt - Torque : 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)

for nut - Torque : 12 Nm (122 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR INJECTION SYSTEM HOSE

(a) Install the No. 2 air injection system hose as shown in the illustration.

(b) Attach the clamp.

(c) Connect the air injection system hose to the air tube assembly shown in the illustration.

HINT
* Make sure the paint mark of the air injection system hose is facing upward.
* Make sure the direction of the hose clamp is as shown in the illustration.

(d) Attach the air pump connector clamp.

(e) Connect the air pump connectors.

(f) Install the fender apron seal with the 2 clips.

3. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH

(a) Install the fender liner with the 9 clips.
