DESCRIPTION

The power steering ECU receives steering angle signals from the steering angle sensor via CAN communication. The power steering ECU provides appropriate assisting force in accordance with the steering angle signal.

1. CHECK OTHER DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)

(a) Check if DTC U0073 is output Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

DTC U0073 indicates a CAN communication malfunction in the power steering system.

2. CHECK OTHER DTC OUTPUT (BRAKE CONTROL SYSTEM)

(a) Using the Techstream, check for DTCs related to the steering angle sensor and confirm that there are no problems in the brake control system Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
