Removal





3UR-FE COOLING: THERMOSTAT: REMOVAL

HINT
If the thermostat was not installed, cooling efficiency would decrease. Even if the engine tends to overheat, do not remove the thermostat.

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER Replacement

2. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

4. DISCONNECT OUTLET RADIATOR HOSE

5. REMOVE WATER INLET SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH THERMOSTAT

(a) Disconnect the No. 2 and No. 3 air hoses.





(b) Disconnect the air pump connector.

(c) Disconnect the air pump connector clamp's holder.

(d) Using a clip remover, detach the wire harness clamp.

(e) Disconnect the No. 5 water by-pass hose.





(f) Remove the air tube bracket bolt.

(g) Remove the 3 nuts, water inlet with thermostat and gasket.
