Rear Door Lock Motor Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU controls the rear door lock motor to lock/unlock the rear door. This ECU applies current from terminal ACT+ to terminal ACT- to operate the motor to lock the door. It reverses the direction of the current flow to operate the motor to unlock the door.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK MOTOR ASSEMBLY





(a) Remove the rear door lock motor LH.

for Double Cab: Components

for CrewMax: Removal

(b) Apply battery voltage and check operation of the door lock motor.

OK:

for Rear LH









(c) Remove the rear door lock motor RH.

for Double Cab: Components

for CrewMax: Removal

(d) Apply battery voltage and check operation of the door lock motor.

OK:

for Rear RH





Result





D -- REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK MOTOR ASSEMBLY Removal

C -- REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK MOTOR ASSEMBLY Removal

B -- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR LOCK MOTOR RH - MAIN BODY ECU)
A -- Continue to next step.

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR LOCK MOTOR LH - MAIN BODY ECU)





(a) Disconnect the O10 door lock connector.

(b) Disconnect the DC ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR LOCK MOTOR RH - MAIN BODY ECU)





(a) Disconnect the O4 door lock connector.

(b) Disconnect the DD ECU connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
