BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS: VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM: C1240: Yaw Rate Sensor Discrimination
C1240 - Yaw Rate Sensor Discrimination
DESCRIPTION
The skid control ECU determines if the yaw rate and acceleration sensor identification information sent via CAN communication matches the yaw rate and acceleration sensor identification information memorized by the skid control ECU.
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
NOTICE:
* When replacing the yaw rate and acceleration sensor, perform calibration Programming and Relearning.
* When replacing the master cylinder solenoid, perform calibration Programming and Relearning.
PROCEDURE
1. CHECK PART NUMBER (YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR)
(a) Check that the proper yaw rate and acceleration sensor is installed.
OK:
Proper yaw rate and acceleration sensor installed.
NG -- REPLACE YAW RATE AND ACCELERATION SENSOR Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. RECONFIRM DTC
(a) Clear the DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
(b) Turn the ignition switch off.
(c) Turn the ignition switch to ON.
(d) Check if the same DTC is output Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
Result
B -- USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK How To Proceed With Troubleshooting
A -- REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID Disassembly
