SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat): DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT
* Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

(a) Raise the reclining adjuster release handle to reveal the claw. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the handle.

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

2. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (for Driver Side)

(a) Remove the screw and handle.

3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and clip, and then remove the cushion shield.

(c) for Driver Side:

Detach the 5 wire harness clamps and disconnect the 2 connectors.

4. REMOVE LUMBAR SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Using a moulding remover, detach the 3 claws and remove the cushion shield.

6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD RH (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 claws and remove the cushion shield.

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

8. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the rubber band from the seat cushion spring.

(b) for Driver Side:

Detach the clamp and disconnect the No. 2 seat wire.

(d) Detach the claw and disconnect the airbag connector.

(e) Detach the 3 airbag wire harness clamps.

(f) Detach the fastening tape and open the cover.

(g) Disconnect the airbag wire harness.

(h) Remove the 4 bolts and seatback assembly.

9. REMOVE SEAT ADJUSTER COVER CAP

(a) Remove the 2 caps.

10. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LEG COVER LH

(a) Detach the 2 claws.

(b) Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to remove the cover.

11. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

(a) Detach the hooks.

(b) Remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

12. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER

(a) Remove the hog rings and seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.

13. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Detach the claw and guide, and then remove the cover.

14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the hook and clip, and then remove the cushion shield.

15. REMOVE FRONT SEAT LOWER CUSHION SHIELD RH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Detach the hook and clip, and then remove the cushion shield.

16. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH

(a) Remove the screw.

(b) Move the protector in the direction of the arrow to detach the hook and remove the protector.

17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

18. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (for Front Passenger Side)

(a) Disconnect the 2 connectors.

(b) Detach the claw and remove the ECU.

19. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE LH

(a) Remove the seat wire.

20. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER LH

(a) Detach the guide.

(b) Move the cover in the direction of the arrow to remove it.

21. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER INSIDE COVER RH

Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

22. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

(a) Remove the 3 hog rings.

(b) Open the 2 fasteners, and then open the seatback cover.

(c) Remove the nut and seatback cover bracket from the seat frame.

(d) Disconnect the seatback cover bracket from the seatback pad.

(e) Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.

(f) Remove the hog rings and seatback cover.

23. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK PAD

(a) Remove the seatback pad.

24. REMOVE NO. 2 SEAT WIRE (for Driver Side)

(a) Disconnect the connector.

(b) Detach the 2 clamps and remove the seat wire.
