DESCRIPTION

The radio and display receiver assembly and map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) are connected to each other using the microphone connection detection signal lines.

This DTC is stored when a microphone connection detection signal line is disconnected.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

NOTICE:
After replacing the radio and display receiver assembly of vehicles subscribed to pay-type satellite radio broadcasts, XM radio ID registration is necessary (w/ SDARS System).

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

2. CONFIRM MODEL

(a) Choose the model to be inspected.

3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY)

(a) Disconnect the F39 telematics transceiver connector.

(b) Disconnect the U2 map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance (Check for Open):





Standard Resistance (Check for Short):





NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- Continue to next step.

4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER)

(a) Disconnect the G31 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

OK -- Continue to next step.

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY))

(a) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

6. INSPECT TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER

(a) Reconnect the F39 telematics transceiver connector.

(b) Reconnect the G31 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

(d) Proceed to the next step based on the inspection result.

(a) Disconnect the G31 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

(b) Disconnect the U2 map light assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

9. REPLACE TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY

(a) Replace the telephone microphone assembly Removal.

(b) Clear the DTCs Navigation System (for Radio and Display Type).

(c) Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

OK:

No DTCs are output.
