Removal

1AR-FE ENGINE MECHANICAL: ENGINE UNIT: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK GUIDE

(a) Remove the engine oil level dipstick.





(b) Remove the bolt and engine oil level dipstick guide.

(c) Remove the O-ring from the engine oil level dipstick guide.

2. REMOVE MANIFOLD STAY Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 2 MANIFOLD STAY Removal

4. REMOVE EXHAUST MANIFOLD ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 1 COMPRESSOR MOUNTING BRACKET

(a) Remove the 4 bolts and bracket.





6. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY Removal

7. REMOVE WATER BY-PASS HOSE

(a) Remove the No. 1 and No. 2 water by-pass hoses.





8. REMOVE VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY (for ACIS) Removal

9. REMOVE NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY Removal

10. DISCONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE Removal

11. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD Removal

12. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

13. REMOVE SENSOR WIRE

(a) Disconnect the knock control sensor wire.





(b) Remove the bolt and knock control sensor wire.

14. REMOVE KNOCK CONTROL SENSOR Removal

15. REMOVE ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY Removal

16. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR Removal

17. REMOVE IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY Removal
