2GR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ECM: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL ECM

(a) Install the 2 ECM brackets to the ECM with the 4 screws.





(b) Install the ECM with the ECM brackets with the bolt and 2 nuts.





Torque : 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)

(c) Install the 2 wire harness clamps.

(d) Install the tire pressure warning ECU with the nut and connect the tire pressure warning ECU connector.





Torque : 8.5 Nm (87 kgf-cm, 75 in-lbf)

(e) Connect the 6 ECM connectors.





2. INSTALL CERTIFICATION ECU (SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY) (w/ Smart Key System) Installation

3. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

4. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

5. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

6. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

Installation

7. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

8. REGISTER TRANSMITTER ID

NOTICE:
If the tire pressure warning ECU is replaced, register the transmitter ID Registration.

9. INSPECT TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM

NOTICE:
If the tire pressure warning ECU is replaced, inspect the tire pressure warning system Test Mode Procedure.

10. INITIALIZE TIRE PRESSURE WARNING SYSTEM

NOTICE:
* Be sure to register the transmitter IDs of all tires in the ECU before initialization.
* Be sure to inflate all tires to the proper inflation pressure before initialization.

11. REGISTER IMMOBILISER COMMUNICATION ID

NOTICE:
If the ECM is replaced, register the ECU communication ID for the immobiliser system Engine Immobilizer System (w/ Smart Key System) w/ Smart Key System, Engine Immobilizer System (w/o Smart Key System) w/o Smart Key System).

12. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

NOTICE:
If the ECM is replaced, perform RESET MEMORY (AT initialization) .
