Volume Adjustment Screw O-Ring, Replacing

NOTE: Item numbers (indicated without illustration in the following texts) refer to exploded view V23-0224.







- Mark position of volume adjustment screw in relation to the pump cover -arrows-
- Loosen locking nut, rotate against the locking sleeve and screw the volume adjustment screw out of pump cover


CAUTION!
The slightest misadjustment of the volume adjustment screw can cause soot build-up and/or loss of engine power. For this reason, the same volume adjustment must be maintained after reassembling. Under no circumstance may the volume adjustment screw be screwed in past the starting position.


- Replace O-ring -3-
- Screw in volume adjustment screw as shown
- Run engine until warm and check idle and maximum speeds
