Hood: Adjustments

Hood, Installing And Adjusting (Up To 12.95)







- Loosely secure hood - 1 - at hinges.
- Align hood and torque bolts.

Tightening torque: Hex bolts = 8.0 Nm







- Reinstall hood latch - 1 -, attach cable - arrow -, and clip on to hood.

Tightening torque: Hex bolts - 2 - = 8.0 Nm

- Reinstall engine compartment light - W27 - - 4 -.







- Move latch on upper radiator support after loosening hex nut - arrow -.

Tightening torque:

Hex nut - 1 - = 5.0 Nm







- Adjust latch so that hood latches completely after it is dropped from 30 cm (12 in.) without having to push down afterward, and:
- Hood is aligned with body contour
- Hood has no upward free play - arrow -
