Heater/Fresh Air Control Cables (Vehicles Without A/C), Installing/Adjusting


NOTE:
- Install cables on control valve first
- Place cable housing at stop and fasten
- Fasten cables to the levers
- Defroster and floor duct cables are self adjusting - slide lever -5- and -6- from stop to stop to adjust.
- With temperature control valve in the installed position adjust cable at the valve.


Cables, installing







1 - Footwell flap cable
- Slide lever -5- to right stop when adjusting cable
- Adjust cable at floor outlet
2 - Temperature control cable (to heater control valve)
- Adjust cable at control valve
- Slide lever -4- to left stop when adjusting cable
3 - Defroster flap cable
- Slide lever -6- to left stop when adjusting cable
- Adjust cable at defroster flap

Cable for defroster flap







- Slide lever -6- to the left
- Adjust cable at defroster flap

Adjusting cable at floor outlet flap







- Fasten cable to floor outlet flap by simultaneously pressing the cable in direction of arrow.

Fastening cable to control valve







- Direct cable to control valve through bulkhead in engine compartment
- Position lever -2- to the left up to the stop (closed/cool)
- Fasten cable to control valve with clip -1-


Adjusting cable at defroster flap







- Fasten cable to defroster flap by simultaneously pushing lever in direction of arrow.
