Don't Cycle Combustion Don't Resume Lower Temp. Is Selected
Heater does not cycle (combustion does not resume) after lower temperature is selected
Possible cause:
- Setting heater-time temperature control switch -E13- to low temperatures over long periods may lead to excessive carbon deposit build-up on the glow-ignition plug. Combustion will not resume automatically when thermostatic control starts fuel delivery again.
Correction:
- Remove ignition-glow plug and inspect for carbon deposits
- Clean or replace glow-ignition plug as necessary.
- Check strainer in heater unit for excessive carbon build-up. If necessary, replace heat exchanger.
- Run heater at maximum output.
NOTE: On vehicles up to chassis No. 70P H 030000 check for marking L 125 C on temperature limiting switch -F82-. If previous marking L110 C is present, replace -F82-.
