Heater malfunction light -K88- flashes, heater emits soot or smoke

Test requirements

- Intake and outlet channels are not blocked
- Combustion air and exhaust pipes are not blocked
- Voltage between heater control module -J65- terminals 3 and 4 must be between 11 V and 13 V

Possible cause:

- Excessive fuel delivery
- Perform fuel flow rate test
