Light Emitting Diode (LED), Checking

The negative pole is indicated by:







1 - Flat on diode housing
2 - Larger pole in diode housing

On some diodes the negative pole connector is additionally angled.







- Digital multimeter VAG 1315A (Fluke 83 or equivalent) , press the resistance and voltage buttons simultaneously -arrows-.
- Connect red terminal (+) to LED (+)
- Connect black terminal (-) to LED (-).

LED must light.
