Hood, Removing (Up To 12.95)







- Remove three Phillips screws - 2 - (from expanding nuts - 3 -), and carefully pry out grille - 1 -.
- Pull hose off windshield washer nozzles, unclip and remove from hood.
- Disconnect plug connectors for heated washer nozzles, if applicable.

Vehicles with hood insulation







- Turn clips - 1 - 60 ° then remove.
- Remove insulation material - 2 -.

Continued, all vehicles







- Remove engine compartment light - W27 - - 4 -, if applicable.

- Remove Phillips screw - 3 - (starting from 09.92), clip and hex bolts - 2 -.

Tightening torque:
Hex bolts - 2 - = 8.0 Nm (71 in.lb)

- Remove hood latch - 1 -, disconnect hood latch cable - arrow -.
- Unclip hood latch cable at front of hood.







- Remove hex bolts - 1 - - arrows - on both sides, remove hood.
