Turn Signals: Testing and Inspection

Use test system V.A.G 1466 for troubleshooting!

Test Condition:
^ Fuse no. 17 0K!
^ Bulbs for turn signal lights OK!

Preparation for Troubleshooting:
- Remove emergency flasher relay J2 (production control number 21) from relay location 6.
- Insert test adapter V.A.G 1466/3 into relay location 6.
- Connect V.A.G 1466 to test adapter.

Troubleshooting - Checking Turn Signals And Emergency Flasher System:

Troubleshooting Procedure:
- Perform test steps according to table.
- If specified value/test result is obtained, proceed with next step (test result OK).
- If specified value/test result is not obtained, use table for troubleshooting and repair.
- Use applicable wiring diagram for wire testing.
- Disconnect test leads after each step.

NOTE: If malfunction has not been eliminated afier performing steps 1 to 7, replace emergency flasher relay J2.

- After repairing malfunction, perform functional test of sum signals and emergency flasher system.
