Refer to Fig. 4 to aid in removal and installation of wheel bearing housing. To prevent component damage or personal injury always install upper control arm support tool No. 3250, or equivalent, Fig. 5, to suspension or release tension from torsion bars before disassembling suspension components.
1. Install upper control arm support tool No. 3250, or equivalent, on both sides, then loosen axle shaft bolt with vehicle on wheels.
2. Remove wheel, then raise and support vehicle.
3. Remove link rod bolt, then caliper and secure away with wire.
4. Remove brake disc and splash shield.
5. Press tie rod off steering arm, then remove bolts securing wheel bearing housing/lower ball joint.
6. Mark position of eccentric bushing to wheel bearing housing.
7. Separate wheel bearing housing/upper ball joint, then remove wheel bearing housing.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
