Cupboards And Storage Compartments, Removing And Installing (EuroVan CV Camper)
Lockable storage compartment, removing
- Open storage compartment lid, remove two recessed screws - arrows - and one hex bolt - 1 - from bottom of storage compartment.
Wall cupboard, removing
- From inside clothes closet, pry off two caps (if applicable), remove hex nuts and press saucer-head screws - arrows - through into wall cupboard.
- Loosen screw connection to bedboard - arrow B -.
- Disconnect speaker cable connectors - 1 -.
- Loosen screw - arrow - to bedboard.
- Pry off cap - arrow -, remove hex nut and remove wall cupboard.
Kitchenette, removing
CAUTION: Note safety measures!
- Remove driver's seat.
- Remove bench.
- Remove drain cock for waste water tank.
Vehicles with gas installation
- Open cover - 1 - underneath left center floor plate.
- Close bleeder valve - 1 -.
Continuation for all vehicles
- Remove upholstered top - 1 - panel - 2 - and insert panel - 3 -.
- Pry off caps - arrows - and remove recessed screws.
- Pry off cap - 1 - and remove hex bolt: 40 Nm (30 ft lb)
- Pull off lower B-pillar trim and remove hex bolts - 1 -.
Vehicles with gas installation
WARNING: Fire hazard! Do not smoke or have anything in area that could ignite propane fuel. Ensure adequate ventilation.
- Loosen screw connection - 1 -.
Continuation for all vehicles
- Open and remove kitchenette right side storage compartment door.
- Remove hex bolt - 1 - from bottom.
- From left side storage compartment of kitchenette, loosen screw clamp - 1 -, - 2 - and - 3 -
- Disconnect vent hoses from base connections.
- Pry off caps - arrows -, remove screws from lower screen cover.
- Press screen cover - 1 - downward, pull out toward center of vehicle.
- Disconnect connectors - 1 -, - 2 - and - 3 -.
- Loosen screw clamps - 4 -, remove hose.
- Remove hex bolt - 5 -.
- Remove clamp - 6 -.
- Open flap for clothes closet - 11 - and remove.
- Open refrigerator lid.
- From inside clothes closet, pry off caps - 1 -, (if applicable), remove hex nuts - 2 -, remove washers - 3 - and press off saucer-head screws - 4 -.
- Close refrigerator lid.
- Unfasten curtains at C-pillar.
- Remove recessed screws with press-studs - arrows - and remove C-pillar trim.
- Pry off caps - arrows - and remove recessed screw.
- Lift kitchenette off outside wall toward center of vehicle.
- Disconnect connectors - 1 - and - 2 -.
- Lift kitchenette out of vehicle.
Clothes closet, removing
- Remove Auxiliary Batteries - A1 -.
- Remove wall cupboard.
- Pry off caps - arrows - and remove recessed screws from lower screen cover.
- Press screen cover - 1 - downward and pull out toward center of vehicle.
- Remove hex bolt - arrow -.
- From inside clothes closet, pry off caps - 1 - (if applicable), remove hex nuts - 2 -, remove washers - 3 - and press out saucer-head screws - 4 -.
- Remove hex bolt with washer.
- Remove clips - 1 - with Allen wrench.
- Unclip roof frame trim - 1 - and pull out in direction of arrow.
- Remove bolts - arrows - and remove battery - 1 -.
NOTE: Mark position of battery brackets before loosening bolts.
- Pull connector off Temperature Sensor - G18 - - 2 -.
- Remove hex bolt - 1 -.
- Remove clothes closet from kitchenette - arrow A - and lift toward center of vehicle - arrow B -.
- Pull battery cable out of battery box and lift clothes closet out of vehicle.
Roof storage box (high roof), removing
- Remove bedboards (high roof).
- Remove roof rails.
- Remove trim with screen and insect protection blind.
- Remove front retaining brackets for roof rails - 1 - left and right side (three recessed screws in each case - arrows -).
- Open roof storage box right door.
- Remove trim - 1 -.
- Remove recessed screws - arrows - from brackets.
- Open roof storage left door of box.
- Remove trim - 1 -.
- Remove recessed screws - arrows - from angle brackets.
