Parking Brake System: Adjustments

NOTE: Due to the automatic rear wheel brake adjustment there is no requirement to adjust the parking brake. Adjustment is only necessary after replacing parking brake cables, brake calipers, brake pads or brake rotors.

- Parking lever in rest/off position





- Tighten adjusting nut (arrow in top illustration) until lever (arrow) lifts off brake caliper stop.
Maximum 1.0 mm (0.039 inch) gap to stop is permissible
- Pull parking brake on and then release.
- Check that both wheels turn freely.
