Wheel bearing, drive axle, removing and installing
Notes:
^ If it should be necessary to move a vehicle whose drive axle has been removed, install an outer joint in place of the drive axle before removing or else wheel bearing will be damaged.
^ Welding and straightening work on supporting or wheel carrying components of the front suspension is not permitted.
^ Always replace self-locking nuts.
^ Always replace corroded bolts/nuts.
1 - Wheel bolt previous version
2 - Wheel bolt previous version
3 - Hex bolt
150 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn)
^ Always replace after disassembly
4 - Socket head bolt, 15 Nm
5 - Brake caliper
6 - Spring dowel sleeve
7 - Wheel hub
8 - Snap ring
^ Check for proper fitting
9 - Wheel bearing
10 - Wheel bearing housing
11 - Hex bolt, 280 Nm
^ M16 x 1.5 x 48
12 - Hex bolt, 355 Nm
^ M18 x 1.5 x48
13- Backing plate
14 - Multipoint socket, 100 Nm
^ M12 x 1.5 x 55
^ Always replace after disassembly
15 - Backing plate
16 - Multipoint socket, 80 Nm
^ M10 X 48
^ Always replace after disassembly
17 - Drive axle
18 - Backing plate
19 - Hex bolt, 8 Nm
20 - Brake disc
