Fuel Injectors, Removing and Installing

Fuel Injectors, Removing And Installing

NOTE: The first signs of injector trouble usually appear as follows:
- Misfiring
- Knocking in one more cylinders
- Engine overheating
- Loss of power
- Smoky black exhaust
- Increased fuel consumption
- Excessive blue smoke when starting from cold

NOTE: Faulty injectors can be located by loosening the line union on each injector in turn with the engine running at fast idle. If the engine speed remains constant after loosening a line union, this denotes a faulty injector.

Removing
- Loosen injector lines using tubing wrench
- Remove injectors using 27 mm socket

CAUTION!
Always remove fuel lines in a complete set. Do not alter the shape of fuel lines or attempt re-routing.

Installing
