Special Tools and Equipment





^ 4 - 128/2 Kukko ball joint separator

Removing
^ Relieve torsion bar.
^ Loosen hex bolt for drive axle when vehicle is standing on its wheels (risk of accident).
^ Remove wheel and raise vehicle.
^ Remove lower bolt for coupling rod stabilizer/shock absorber.
^ Remove brake caliper and hang on body using tie wire.
^ Remove brake disc and backing plate.





^ Press off tie rod from steering knuckle.

^ Separate threaded connection wheel bearing housing/ball joint.
^ Mark position of eccentric bushing to wheel bearing housing (e.g. using marker) otherwise the front axle must be adjusted on the wheel alignment stand.
^ Separate threaded connection wheel bearing housing/upper ball joint
^ Remove wheel bearing housing.

Installing
Installation is the reverse of removal.
