^ VAG 1332 torque wrench

Note: Only loosen and tighten hex bolt for drive axle when vehicle is standing on its wheels (risk of accident).

Removing
^ Loosen hex bolt for drive axle.
^ Unbolt constant velocity joint on transmission side.

Installing
Installation of the drive axle is the reverse of removal.

Tightening torques:
Drive axle to wheel hub 150 Nm + 90°
^ Always replace bolt
Drive axle to transmission flange 40 Nm
