Batteries For Main Key With Radio Frequency Remote Control, Removing And Installing (vehicles Up To 10.00)

1 - Transmitter unit - upper part (turned over)
2 - Button battery
3 - Contact plate
4 - Button battery
5 - Transmitter unit - lower part
6 - Main key
In the following description, the transponder is called "Radio Unit".
Removing
- Insert screwdriver in slot between transmitter - 1 - and main key - 2 -.
- Move screwdriver in direction of arrow and unclip transmitter from main key.
- Pry apart transmitter at two locating tabs -arrows-.
- Unclip upper battery - 1 - from retainers - 2 - with screwdriver in direction of arrow.
- The contact plate - 1 - has a straight edge. When edge is turned toward retainers, contact plate can be removed.
- Contact plate can also be unclipped with screwdriver.
- Now unclip lower battery from retainers with a screwdriver.
Installing
Note polarity and correct position when installing batteries.
- Place button battery - 4 - with positive pole upward into transmitter unit (positive terminal is marked on housing).
- Place contact plate - 3 - on button battery - 4 -.
- Place battery - 2 - onto contact plate with positive terminal up and engage both.
- Place upper transmitter unit - 1 - and lower transmitter unit - 5 - together and clip together.
- Engage transmitter unit with main key.
NOTE: If battery replacement takes longer than 30 seconds, then key or keys must be synchronized. Perform function test.
