Trunk / Liftgate Latch: Service and Repair

Rear Lid Lock Mechanism, Removing

- Remove molded trim from tailgate and/or remove tailgate trim.







- If applicable, loosen central locking motor -V53- - 1 - by removing Phillips screws - 2 - and rod - 3 - at lock mechanism.







- Remove tailgate lock rod - 1 - for inner mechanism and child lock - 3 -.
- Remove Phillips screw - 4 - and tailgate lock mechanism.

Tightening torque:
Phillips screw - 4 - = 8 Nm
