Trim, Removing And Installing (Multivan)

NOTE: Multivan with camper roof, trim above window edge is to be removed and installed according to EuroVan CV Camper instructions

Upper B-pillar trim, component layout

Left side







1 - Upper B-pillar trim
2 - Seat belt assembly
- On B-pillar at bottom with hex bolt
- 48 Nm (35 ft lb)

3 - Seat belt
4 - Coat hook
- With cap for recessed screw

5 - Recessed screw
6 - Spreader nut
7 - Bracket
8 - Press-stud
- Only screwed onto trim

9 - Clip
- 2 - part
- When mounting, insert sleeve into mounting hole in B-pillar and pin into trim.

10 - Side panel molded trim, front
11 - Seal
- After mounting trim, ensure that seal is positioned correctly.

Upper B-pillar trim left, removing







- Pry off cap - 1 -, remove belt assembly bolt.
- Pry out cap - 2 -, remove coat hook.







- Unclip trim in following order:
- Along molded headliner - arrow A -
- Rear side of B-pillar - arrow B -
- Front side of B-pillar - arrow C -

- At level of clip - 1 -, remove trim in installation position of B-pillar.

Upper B-pillar trim left, installing







- Clip trim in position on B-pillar and into brackets; ensure clip - 1 - and seat belt height adjuster are mounted correctly.
- After installing trim, ensure seal - arrow B - is positioned correctly.

Right side







1 - Upper B - pillar trim
2 - Seat belt
3 - Belt assembly
- Fastened to B-pillar with hex bolt.
- 40 Nm (30 ft lb)

4 - Bracket
5 - Positioning buckle in roller guide
- Bracket must be centered
- Incorrectly positioning bracket may damage upper B-pillar trim, caused by sliding door.

6 - Seal, sliding door
7 - Clip
- 2 - part
- When mounting, insert sleeve in B-pillar mounting hole, insert pin in trim.

8 - Press-stud
- crewed onto trim.

Upper B-pillar trim right, removing
- Pry off cap, remove seat belt bolt at bottom of B-pillar.







- Unclip trim in following order:
- Along molded headliner - arrow A -
- Rear side of B-pillar - arrow B -
- Front side of B-pillar - arrow C -

- At level of clip - 1 - remove trim.

Upper B-pillar trim right, installing
- Set trim in installation position on B-pillar, clip in brackets on roof frame - arrow A -, ensure clip - 1 - and belt height adjuster are mounted correctly.
- After mounting trim, ensure seals - arrows B and C- are positioned correctly.
