Programming Control Module (Function 07)
Code Control Module (function 07)
Using this function, the instrument cluster can be coded as follows:
- Market versions
- Distance impulse number
- Available equipment activation
NOTE:
- The code table lists only those combinations applicable to the VW EuroVan.
- Coding adjusts the various combination possibilities according to country version, engine, trip impulse number and optional equipment.
Initiating coding
- Connect VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST), select operating mode 1 "Rapid data transfer", switch ignition on and enter address word 17 for "instrument cluster"
After control module identification is displayed:
- Press -> button.

- Press buttons -0- and -7- to select function 07 "Code Control Module".

- Determine vehicle particulars and input code number using coding table.

NOTE: If instrument cluster was replaced, the CAN-Bus On Board Diagnostic (OBD) Interface -J533- must also be coded
Where applicable, end function:
- Press buttons -0- and -6-. This selects "End Output", function 06.
