Replace Control Module For Anti-Theft Immobilizer Adaptation
Replacement control module for anti-theft immobilizer -J362-, adaptation (function 10)
NOTE:
- To avoid false entry, determine 14-digit identification number for control module using OBD program, Scan Tool (ST) function 01, "Check control module version". The secret number must be obtained from the corporate radio/immobilizer code retrieval system (supply the 14-digit Immobilizer identification number).
- When only the control module for immobilizer is to be replaced, the secret number from the old control module is used. If all components are to be replaced, the secret number from the new control module must be used.
- Every control module for immobilizer has its own secret number!
- If all components are to be replaced, adapt all control modules and use new key set.
- Before proceeding with adaptation, determine method by which data exchange takes place between the ECM and the immobilizer control module by performing OBD function 08 - Read measuring value block and then use appropriate procedure below:

Requirements
Authorized keys available.
- Insert old (authorized) key into ignition lock.
- Connect VAG 1551 Scan Tool (ST), switch on ignition, select operating mode 1 "Rapid Data Transfer", and input address word 25, "Immobilizer".

NOTE:

Tester sends address word 25
- Secret number is not accepted. Repeat input.
- 3 attempts at entering the secret number correctly are possible immediately. The next 3 attempts are not permitted for at least 10 minutes. During this time, the ignition must remain on. On Board Diagnostic (OBD) must be also exited using the "End Output" function 06.
- The wait period between each of the next 3 attempts doubles up to the maximum time of 255 minutes.
