Checking Heated Power Mirrors From September 1998

Required for troubleshooting :
- Multimeter Fluke 83
- Connector Test Kit VW1594
- Valid wiring diagram

Before starting troubleshooting, battery negative terminal (-) must be securely tighted.

Prerequisite:
- SB12 Fuse 12 (30A), located on fuse holder -B-below fuse/relay-panel, OK !
- S14 Fuse 14 (10A), located on fuse/relay-panel, OK !
- Mechanism of power mirrors OK !


CAUTION!
DO NOT damage, enlarge or bend connector terminals or cavities by forcing probes into them when performing electrical checks. Always use connector test kit VW 1594 to make the necessary electrical connections.


After repairing malfunction, check functions of power mirrors heating and adjusting.
