A/T - 010, 003 Bind In Reverse/2nd Gear Starts

SUBJECT: VW/AUDI 010, 003 SERIES

PROBLEM: Bind-up in Reverse, and 2nd Gear Starts

CAUSE: May be a bad accumulator seal. (See figure)

If the seal is leaking, mainline pressure is allowed to apply the band in reverse and drive.




The seal is available in service package 003325405-F which includes a new seal and accumulator.
