If, under high operating temperatures, the starter motor will not engage during re-starting, the following parts must be installed.
Wiring harness P/N 175-971-451
Relay P/N 171-919-505A
Bracket P/N 161-972-595
Tie wraps obtained locally

Work sequence
- disconnect battery ground (-) cable
- route and secure wiring harness. as shown in Fig. 1 (shaded area )
- remove rear nut from left front shock absorber and install relay mounting bracket
- torque nut to 20 N-m ( 14 ft.lbs.)
- attach ground wire of relay harness to strut tower using existing screw
- install eyelet connecter of red wire to positive ( + ) battery clamp ( Fig. 1, A )
- connect wires of relay harness to positive ( + ) battery cable and right hand engine harness ( Fig. 1, B )
