Front door window channel weatherstrips must be modified to eliminate complaints of binding..
Note
Weatherstrips used with revised window channels as referred in PC 85-03, group 64, September 13, 1985 also must be modified.
Work procedure
- lower window
- partially remove outer slot seal
- partially pull weatherstrip up and out of divider bar
- cut and remove 58 mm (2.28 in.) off lower end of weatherstrip
- lube weatherstrip with soapy water
- reinstall weatherstrip into divider bar
- reinstall outer slot seal
- check window for proper function
