Thermo Time Switch: Service and Repair

To replace the Thermo-time Switch:

Cold Start Components:

1. Drain coolant from the engine.
2. Disconnect harness connector from the Thermo-time Switch.
3. Loosen and remove switch from engine.
4. Apply thread sealant to new switch and install into engine.
5. Torque new switch to:

22 ft.lbs. (30 Nm)

6. Reconnect harness connector to switch.
7. Refill cooling system with coolant.
8. START engine and check for coolant leaks at switch, repair any leaks immediately.
