SUBJECT: UNEVEN FRONT BRAKE PAD WEAR 1987/88 MY FOX VEHICLES
Technical Management Guide Supplement 12, dated December 1988, Page 47.1 informs of the availability of a new master cylinder for vehicles prior to VIN 30_JP075557. The new master cylinder with a production date code higher than 21st week of 1988 will reduce uneven brake pad wear.
Claims for uneven brake pad wear on Fox vehicles will be accepted under the Limited New Vehicle Warranty as long as the repair requires the replacement of the master cylinder as described in Technical Management Guide Supplement 12.
Warranty Guidelines:
^ The complaint is uneven brake pad wear.
^ The cause of the brake pad wear may be a master cylinder produced prior to the 21st week of 1988.
^ The correction is replacement of a master cylinder with a production date, week/year code higher than 21/88.
