SUBJECT: VW HEIDELBERG V RADIO LOCKED-UP REPAIR PROGRAM
An economical repair program has been developed, in response to dealer's requests, to satisfy your Volkswagen customer's needs for theft protected radios.
Effective immediately locked-up radios that are out of warranty and are not defective can be submitted to an authorized repair facility to unlock them at a nominal cost. The customer will be responsible for a $21.00 service charge to unlock the radio plus all shipping, handling, and labor expense.
Along with a check, in the amount of $21.00, made out to Matsushita Service Co., locked-up radios are to be shipped to:

The dealer's responsibility will be to ship the radio to the Matsushita Service Co. via UPS, freight PREPAID. The dealer must package each unit properly to avoid possible damage. The same packaging will be used to return the unit to the dealer.
Matsushita will unlock the radio and perform a "quick functional test" on the unit. The unit will be returned within 48 hours via UPS 2nd Day Air - COD (cash on delivery).
