Static in radio when listening to AM stations - radio suppression


In isolated cases, you may experience static in the AM mode.

The following procedure will help to reduce AM static:

^ Check the antenna for a good ground to fender.

^ Install a braided ground strap from engine cylinder head to the ignition coil mounting bracket.

^ Install a braided ground strap from the exhaust system to the body.

^ Check condition of spark plug wires and connectors.
