Exterior rear view mirrors - wind noise

Condition

Wind noise in exterior mirror area and/or restricted mirror glass adjustment.

The rubber grommet that seals the opening for the mirror adjustment mechanism (joy stick) deteriorates, allowing outside air to enter the passenger compartment.

Service

Replace the deteriorated grommet with new grommet, Part No. 305 857 510.

Note
Do not replace complete mirror assemblies for wind noise complaints.
