Thermo Time Switch: Adjustments

The Thermo-time switch is not adjustable and should be replaced if it is not functioning properly, refer to COMPONENT TESTING PROCEDURES. However if the Thermo-time switch does not operate properly for your climate conditions there are Thermo-time switches with different operating ranges available. The Thermo-time switch with a warmer operating range is especially helpful in cold starting a car that is in a warm climate area, simply because overnight temperatures do not drop low enough to activate the cold start system. The temperature rating of the Thermo-time switch is stamped in the side of the switch, the two most common switches are rated at:

15°C cold climate

35°C warm climate
