3rd/4th gear synchronizer hub, installing





When assembling the input shaft, the correct way to install the 3rd/4th gear synchronizer hub is as follows:

^ install with chamfer on hub inner splines (white arrow) facing 3rd gear

^ install with groove (black arrow) facing 4th gear

The current microfiche repair manual incorrectly describes this assembly procedure.
