SUBJECT : VAG 1598/08 AND /09 ADAPTERS MINIMUM REQUIREMENT AUTOMATIC SHIPMENT AT-105


To properly service the 1990 Volkswagen Passat, Jetta and Golf, two additional adapter harnesses are required. VAG 1598/08 is utilized to service the instrument cluster of 1990 Golf (after August 89) and 89/90 Jetta models (after Jan. 89). VAG 1598/09 is needed to service the automatic transmission on 1990 Passat models. A breakdown is listed below with price and application information.

Every dealer who participates in the Automatic Supply program will be shipped one tool package, freight prepaid. Shipments are anticipated to commence the week of May 21, 1990, and conclude the following week. Should you decide not to receive the special tools by Automatic Shipment, please notify your Zone/Distributor Service Department before may 14, 1990.
