Rear Wheel Brake cylinder Replacement Criteria
Model(s):
All Models, with rear drum brakes.
Rear wheel brake cylinders need to be replaced when one or more of the following conditions are observed:
^ Leaking(dripping) wheel cylinders
^ Torn or damaged boots
^ Fluid soaked brake shoes and drums
^ Seized or sticking wheel cylinders
Do not replace rear wheel brake cylinders because of the presence of slight fluid residue.
It is normal to have a slight fluid residue on the outside of the wheel cylinder cup.
This residue lubricates the moving components and walls of cylinder.
This residue should not not be confused with a cylinder leak.
